Joined RESOURCE in 2016 as a Maintenance Technician with the Property Management team. In this position, he ensures all of the tenants needs are met by coordinating with vendors or performing the work in-house. Abe continually strives to bring more tasks in-house in an effort to reduce maintenance costs for each property. He also works to ensure the buildings stay up-to-date with technology, analyzing the return on investment for improved features that could also cut costs.
Prior to RESOURCE, Abe was a Maintenance Engineer for nearly 4 years focusing on the maintenance needs for the Precedent Office Park which includes 21 buildings and 1.2 million square feet. Two of the years were with JLL and two were with Cassidy Turley, because the management contract changed companies during that time period. Earlier in his career, Abe was employed in the concrete industry for 10 years where he worked his way into management and held several roles over the years including driver, dispatcher, quality control and plant manager. Abe is a third-generation veteran of the United States Marine Corps where he served in the Military Police. In this position, he refined his management and organizational skills.
On the personal side, Abe is a jeep enthusiast who founded an organization called Hoosier Wheelers, which is dedicated to jeep owners who also enjoy giving back to the community, those in need and especially veterans. They organize rides, sell t-shirts and otherwise raise money to benefit worthy causes in the community.
